A fortnightly foray into Abigail's world

1. Stacking cups provide endless hours of entertainment. They are easy to throw, fun to bang together, and great to knock over.

2. It's time to gear up for football season - Go Huskers!


3. On second thought, my thumb is a great soothing mechanism - how wonderful it is to have rediscovered it.

4. Mama is opening her very own baby food making factory.



5. Here are the ratings thus far:

Carrots = bad
Bananas = okay
Avocado, Sweet Potatoes = yummy
Butternut Squash, Pears = amazing

6. I'm still growing (though my weight has not yet been confirmed)...please find more evidence below.

Work BBQ

On Sunday Allison's office hosted their annual all-employee BBQ so we gathered up the clan (pun intended) and went to enjoy the day with Allison's co-workers.

There were quite a few activities . . .

1. Allison took a spin on a 4-wheeler, which are called Quad-bikes here in the UK:

Some of you may know that Jeff is quite good at archery and so Allison saw it as her duty to make him enter the archery contest.

Here he is with the first place "trophy," the runner-up (one of Allison's good friends from work) and a large quantity of Wisconsin cheese (that was for you Matt and Mike).

It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. The only things missing were Cheese Brats and Ultimate Frisbee. Maybe next year Abigail can get in on the fun (or at least smile for the camera).

A fortnightly foray into Abigail's world . . .

1. Six Month Mark: Check. Six Month Check Up: Delayed due to Flood Damage.

2. Rice Cereal + Banana + Milk = Fantastic.

3. Toes + Peekaboo + Tickling = Even More Fantastic.


4. It's hard to tell what's more fun. Holding a cup, or spilling its contents on my shirt.

5. The camera is a bit frustrating. So, no real great pictures to share this week.

Friend or Foe?

We often joke (read: weep) in the Aernie household over our consistent ineptitude at initiating, fostering, and sustaining friendships.

In an effort to keep the problem on the joking side (does anyone really want to see Jeff weep?), we created the "Aernie Friendship Quiz."

This quiz has been painstakingly crafted in order to determine scientifically the participant's aptitude for friendship with the Aernies. Unlike those ridiculous personality tests you took in school (yes, we're talking to you Myers-Briggs), each question in this test has a correct answer. Enjoy.

The First Supper

Well, Abigail has been quite busy lately with all kinds of "firsts" in her life. This weekend, she got her first go at a little rice cereal. From the picture below, it looks like Jeff might have spiked the cereal with something. She looks a little woosey.
